The Commissioner for Standards is an independent person appointed by the Northern Ireland Assembly. The main role of the Commissioner is to investigate complaints about the conduct of Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs).

Please note that the post of Assembly Commissioner for Standards is currently vacant. Any complaints received by the Commissioner’s Office, however, will be acknowledged, recorded and passed to the next Commissioner for Standards as soon as one is appointed.
